The Center For Working Families impacts families through a unique a two generational approach.
The Center For Working Families seeks to impact families of the NPU-V district by elevating them with a two generational concept that not only focuses on the development and success of the mom or dad but the children as well. Holistically we want to create a better dynamic for families of this area and enhance the culture by being a power for good in an area that deserves to have the same opportunities of success as others. We are aware that for most parents finding high quality, affordable and accessible care for their young children is a real barrier, especially for many low-income families as they enter and advance in the workforce. Our partnership with Sheltering arms helps participants receive childcare from ages six weeks until they are of age to go to Dunbar Elementary. This program academically advances the children by having a strong educational core as opposed to just providing child care services they help develop critical skills necessary for growth at the pivotal stage the children are in where learning is essential.
