Our mission: to advance economic success for hard-working families and their children through workforce development, economic support and asset building.
Our vision: we believe that every family should live in a vibrant community, with access to quality services and unlimited potential to achieve their goals and desires.
Our History
Launched with significant investments from the Annie E. Casey Foundation (AECF) in 2006, TCWFI is a model for placing hard to employ adults in jobs that lead to economic independence. This is accomplished through an intensive and holistic approach that includes one-on-one coaching, bundled services and attention to the needs of the whole family. Over the years, TCWFI has grown from serving 300 residents each year to more than 300 residents each month. In 2017, we officially merged with New Hope Enterprises to maximize impact and our footprint.
One family at a time, TCWFI is laying the foundation for extraordinary community change. Each success sets the stage for multi-generational redirection, out of dependence and into self-reliance, fulfillment and healthy civic engagement.
TCWFI is growing to serve the ever-increasing number of Atlantans seeking the means to a better life. To sustain and extend TCWFI’s transformative work, the organization is seeking to build its network of investors and partners.
