Che D. Watkins

Ms. Che Watkins has more than 20 years of experience in external affairs, public policy, business development, and finance. She most recently served as a consultant with the Atlanta Workforce Development Agency, serving as a liaison to the board. Che led the initial implementation of an organizational restructuring plan to make the agency more lean, efficient, and accountable. Prior to her time at AWDA, Che served as Education and Campaign Manager the Metro Atlanta Voter Education Network (MAVEN) and Citizens for Transportation Mobility (CTM). MAVEN and CTM were the organizations established to execute the $9 million voter education and advocacy effort to draw 300,000 voters to the polls to pass the $8 billion transportation referendum for the metro Atlanta region.
She spent more than four years with the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce as Vice President of External Affairs where she leveraged her acute skills to develop relationships with local government officials, metro area Chambers, regional and community nonprofits, corporate leaders and other community voices. She also managed the Chamber’s Greater Grady Task Force and the “Save Grady” Campaign. Che began her career with J.P. Morgan & Co. as a Financial Accountant and later as an Associate, before moving into client interfacing leadership positions for seven years at Bank of America. Che received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Spelman College, and her MBA from New York University. She is deeply rooted in the community, serving on local and regional boards including Hammonds House Museum, Art Papers Magazine, Atlanta Black-Jewish Coalition and United Way of Greater Atlanta. Volunteer and mentor work includes Spelman College, Junior League of Metropolitan Atlanta, Cool Girls, Inc., United Way VIP and others. She is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta, Class of 2009.
Nicholé Jefferson

Nichole Jefferson serves as Chief Program Officer for TCWFI, overseeing all programs and services, data and evaluation and grants compliance functions for the agency. Jefferson brings a wealth of experience to the Center, with over 20 years in leadership positions for various nonprofits in the Maryland/DC/Virginia area. She has a track record for leading high performing teams and organizations, as well as strategy and implementation of new programs. Nichole is a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB) and the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). Nichole is a graduate of Strayer University.
